Brownies
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1 cup butter
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ¹⁄₄ cups flour
¹⁄₂ teaspoon baking powder
¹⁄₂ teaspoon salt
Mocha Frosting
4 cups confectioners' sugar
¹⁄₂ cup butter, melted
¹⁄₃ cup baking cocoa
¹⁄₄ cup strong brewed coffee
2 teaspoons vanilla

directions

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate and butter; stir until smooth.
Remove from the heat and add sugar.
Mix well and add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Stir in vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; add to the chocolate mixture until just combined.
Pour into a greased 9x13x2-inch baking pan and bake at 375°F for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Cool on a wire rack.
Combine frosting ingredients and stir until smooth.
Frost brownies.
