  1. Cream shortening and brown sugar.
  2. Stir in eggs and molasses.
  3. Stir together the flour and spices in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the milk alternately with flour mixture until blended, but don't overmix.
  5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees 10-12 minutes.
  7. Cool and frost with buttercream frosting.
