Frozen Margarita Slush

"I made this up after seeing an episode of Rachael Ray's 30 Minute Meals where she made something similar. I've used Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Kiwi Swirl sorbet in place of the lime sorbet so feel free to substitute your favorite fruity flavor! Goes down fast and smooth so be careful!"

directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and process or mix by hand in a small bowl (easier for a single serving).
  • Serve immediately.
  • *Note: If sorbet is too hard straight out of the freezer to mix by hand, microwaving it for 8-10 seconds softens it enough to mix easily. No need to soften if using a blender to mix.

  1. This is a very refreshing drink. I really enjoyed it; it makes a good after dinner dessert drink.

  2. This could be dangerous! I could not find lime sorbet, but found Tutti Fruiti Margarita sorbet, and substituted it for both lemon and lime sorbet. I also boosted the alcohol content a bit, and even made it with Vodka once instead of tequila. Great summer drink!

  3. This is really Outstanding! I used lemon sorbet and lime sherbet because I was unable to locate lime sorbet in our local grocery store. This would make an excellent adult dessert drink. It is full of delicious flavor and just hits the spot ;) Thank you for sharing, flower!

I have a degree in archaeology from a small Ohio college and I work for the Ohio History Connection. My passions are art, music, books, food, history, and cats/animal welfare. I also love photography. I have a 1,000 (plus) piece collection of vintage flower pins from the 1960's, hence the username ha. I also have small collections of vintage butterfly pins, vintage tablecloths, and vintage glass Christmas ornaments. (Can you tell I love vintage?) I took a trip to the Netherlands in March 2006 and fell in love! I doubt it will happen but if I ever have the opportunity I would love to live there.
