Fruit Skewers

"These are so simple to make and so tasty and so refreshing! perfect dessert after a heavy meal or for summer snacks! Experiment with whatever fruits you find ripe in the grocery store! Also when you're done with em, don't throw out the leftover syrup! Save it to make some tasty, fruity cocktails, try a fruity twist to mojitos!"

  • Pour sugar and water into a small saucepan. Bring it to a boil over high heat and stir until sugar dissolves. Begin grating the lemon and lime rinds into the saucepan. Once water is boiling, take it off the stove and let it cool.
  • Meanwhile, start cutting fruit into small cubes or bite size pieces. You can leave the grapes, cherries, raspberries, and blueberries whole.
  • Once done cutting up fruit, place one piece of each fruit onto a skewer. Feel free to add extra fruit or make different combos of fruit on each skewer! have fun with it! Place finished fruit skewers into large container.
  • Once the syrup has cooled to room temperature, pour it over the fruit skewers.
  • Place container in fridge for at least 4 hours. Enjoy these tasty treats!
