  1. WOW! This is FANTASTIC! Thanks for including it in the breakfast catagory; I was searching for new alternatives to make for a Halloween breakfast meeting at work and came across this recipe. I could only find brie in one pound wedges, so I made two and doubled the fruit. I substituted regular raisins for golden raisins as that is what I had on hand. I mixed up the fruit and apple juice the night before, added some lemon juice to keep the apples and pears from discoloring, and marinated the fruit mixture overnight. The next morning, I popped the brie in the oven while I dressed for work. After removing it from the oven, I wrapped it in foil, and it stayed warm until I served it with crackers about 45 minutes later. I got rave reviews and many requests for the recipe! With the brie, I served Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffins, another GREAT 'Zaar recipe! The Fruited Brie would also make a wonderful appetizer or dessert.

  2. Excellent recipe. I served this over Christmas and it was enjoyed by all. You need to watch the cooking time carefully. Mine was runny after 15 minutes but it still was delicious. The next time I would cut back on the cooking time. I also might add a touch of lemon juice to cut back on the sweetness of the apple juice.

  3. I thought it was ok. Maybe a little brown sugar would help. However, I served it for a party and got a lot of compliments. So, what do I know! Also, I used currants instead of raisens. Maybe that changed it some.

  4. This was really great. I made it for an appetizer last night and had the reast for breakfast this morning. Oh so good. I added about a teaspoon of ground ginger to the fruit and it gave it just a bit of a kick. This will be taken to our annual Christmas Eve dinner. Thanks for posting it.
