  • Layer the cabbage, onion, apple and sultanas in an ovenproof dish. Seasoning each layer with salt and pepper.
  • Mix the vinegar and water together and sprinkle over.
  • Cover with a piece of greasproof paper then the lid.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350F/180C (160C fan oven) for 90 minutes until tender.
  • Stir well before serving.
  • Can be cooked at higher temperature for shorter time or lower temperature for longer time - depening on what else you are cooking at the same time.
