  1. Halve and seed the peppers.
  2. Chop the onion.
  3. Mince the garlic.
  4. Simmer all vegetables until tender with enough water to steam, but not enough to cover. It is easy to get this too soupy.
  5. Remove from heat when tender, add salt, vinegar, and oil.
  6. Puree in food processor.
  7. Blend in sour cream if you want to tame the heat. If made with hot jalapenos, this can be pretty aggressive. Adding a bit of vinegar also tames the heat. Can keep but does not can well.
