Garlic Bagel Chips

"I love these light, crispy, healthy, flavorful little chips. Using just your favorite kind of bagel [sweet or savory] and a few simple ingredients you can create a wonderful treat for you and your whole family to enjoy! Note: If you like a sweeter bagel chip try using 2 cinnamon rasien bagels sub. 2Tbs granulated sugar for garlic powder sub. 1 ts cinnamon for cheese 1ts nutmeg and a pinch of salt continue as directed."

  • 2 whole wheat bagels (or whatever flavor you like, see note)
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • butter-flavored cooking spray
  • 1 ziploc bag

directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place bagels on cutting board, bottom side down.
  • Slice in 1/4 inch slices down the bagel. (or thinner if you like the chips extra crispy).
  • Slice each piece in half, or approx bite-size pieces. (opt.).
  • Spray each piece lightly with the butter flavored cooking spray, on the front and back.
  • Throw all the bagel pieces in the bag.
  • Throw in the garlic powder, salt, and cheese, close the bag, and toss thoroughly.
  • Place bagel pieces on baking sheet and bake for 7 minutes, toss them, and bake for another 7 minutes.
