  1. Delicious! We love sauteed mushrooms and these were especially delicious with the fresh basil and cayenne. I cut my mushrooms in half and added a splash of white wine. I served them as a side dish to my barbecued steaks. I can't wait to try these as a topping for bread as stated in the recipe. **Made for 2019 Football Pool**

  2. Yummy recipe. I left the mushrooms whole and sauteed them as a side dish. I plan on cutting them up and using them for an appetizer next time on bread as recommended. I love sauteed mushrooms and make them fairly often, but I've never added the cayenne before. I really enjoyed them this way. Thanks for sharing, Lori. Made for CQ4.

  3. I chopped mine up, too! Reminds me of the way my Mom would make an appetizer very similar to this. I liked the spicy pop of flavor! Thanks for posting! Made for CQ4

  5. These are terrific! I chopped them a little smaller because I like your idea of putting the mushrooms on crusty bread! I think next time I'll chop them even smaller for appetizer. I'll leave them bigger for a side dish. Thanks Lauralie for posting this! Stacy G, CQ 2017, Wales

Tweaks

  1. Just delicious! I used crushed red pepper flakes instead of the cayenne, otherwise made just as directed. Served with toasted flatbread and loved these - thanks for sharing the recipe!

  2. This was part of Menu #28298. I cut the mushrooms into 1/4`s. Added 1/2 an onion that I had leftover. I use hot paprika in place of the cayenne. Yummo!
