Garlic Prawns

"Simple, delicious garlic prawns - we like these over noodles. Recipe is from Arun's restaurant in Chicago. Do not substitute oyster sauce for the fish sauce, they are not interchangeable. If you need to substitute the fish sauce, use either Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce."

  1. Easy and good! A little salty for my taste, but I guess I should have expected that with the fish sauce. Next time I'll reduce the amount to 1 tbsp. I made it as a quick lunch for me and DH. thanks for posting!

  2. Tasty. A light meal(not heavy on the belly). I served this with rice noodles and will definitely have it again. It only takes minutes to make.

  3. This was a definite hit with DH. He said 5 stars, and I have to agree with him. VERY EASY too.

  4. Very good. I once ate at Arun's and I remember it as some of the best Thai food I've ever had! We made this with regular-sized shrimp instead of prawns, and therefore removed the tails before cooking. Other than using shrimp and increasing the amount of cilantro, we made it to the recipe. The shrimp plated up nicely with thai stir-fry noodles and recipe #68621, Thai Style Broccoli Salad. What a great menu!

  5. These are good! They are easy and quick to make. I used Oyster Sauce instead of fish sauce. I don't know if they are the same thing or not. I served them with Beer Rice #28085 Thanks Jude for a great recipe.
