German Goulash

"My dad and I made dinner every night of the week while my mom worked nightshift. Let's just say that we came up with some interesting meals. This is probably one of my favorites though. Can be made on the stovetop or in the crockpot."

directions

  • cut up sausage into large bite size pieces, put it in a large dutch oven or in the crockpot. Add potatoes and cans of beans (with juice.) Add cayenne pepper and seasoned salt to taste. I add about 1 teaspoon of cayenne because we like it a little spicier. Then just cook until potatoes are done. When I put it in the crockpot I do low for about 8 hours or high for about 3. On the stove it can be made in less than 30minutes.

  1. The only changes I made was to cook it in olive oil on the stove, and add chopped onions. Otherwise, my only complaint was that there wasn't enough left-over for lunch the next day. This was a quick, delicious meal.

  2. It is very yummy, but it is not "German Goulash". GG is a beef stew with red peppers.
