1. Did not grill. I used my Power Pressure Cooker XL. Put ½ cup of water, in the pot and used the insert to place the marinated swordfish steaks, above the water. I also added some soy sauce, to taste. Set it for 15 minutes, with some fresh asparagus on top, and what a meal!!!

2. Is swordfish very fishy tasting or more like cod?

3. I've never had swordfish before, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy to prepare and delicious these steaks were! We don't tolerate spicy too well, so I replaced the hot chile pepper with red bell pepper, and it was so good! This is a great fish to grill since it is firm and holds together well. Highly recommend this recipe if you are looking to get into the world of fish grilling!

4. Very nice recipe. We cooked swordfish for first time and picked up yours because it contains a combination of our favourite herbs. We grilled on a grill skillet and it came up amazing. Garnished with soft boiled potatoes and a nice french white clairette. Thanks!

5. I substituted the green onion with sweet purple onion. I doubled the recipe and was really worried that the 4.5 CM (1.7 Inches) of Ginger Root would over power the garlic and the dish. It seems the lemon juice really equalizes the flavors and the swordfish steaks tasted wonderful! I marinated for 20 minutes. I will do this one again.

Tweaks

1. Just a small suggestion. The basic ingredient list is great. Both Alice Waters and I love the mortar and pestle. Very popular in the Mediterranean and Middle East I would suggest putting the garlic and ginger in a mortar with a bit of sea salt and then pound it into a paste. Don't use a ceramic one, as it will not likely take the abuse. I have a custom-turned wooden mortar and pestle. It will just about take any abuse I throw at it. I also added a bit of fresh basil leaf, and pounded it into the paste as well. That's it!

I'm the mother to two boys (Yaron °2002, Noah °2004) and I am happily married since 2000. I work as an administrative assistant in a primary school. I have liked cooking since I was a little girl, strangely enough, my mother never really enjoyed cooking, so I don't know where I am getting it from. Cooking is really taking a break for me (at least of my two boys will leave me to it). I try to involve my kids as much as possible in cooking and they already enjoy making cookies, cakes and popsicles. I like to bake so when it's their birthday I let them choose their favourite cake. This year I made a pirate ship for the youngest one and a treasure chest for my oldest. I am active in my children's school and I like to craft when there's time left, which isn't too much lately. Every night before I go to bed, I need to read at least a chapter in a book. It has become such a ritual that it is hard to sleep when I haven't. I do have quite a few cookbooks, but the ones I would miss the most if I'ld lost them (even if I don't make that much recipes out of them) are my great grandmothers cookbooks, which are partly just little pieces of paper with a recipe scribbled onto it. I also really like the cookbooks and tv-shows of Jamie Oliver and Nigela Lawson. I really like the countryside, even if I don't really live in it. (I live in a suburb of Bruges) My dream is to one day buy a small little farmhouse with just a few animals and a beautiful garden, where I could grow some veggies to can in summer. Well, one can dream can we... My pet peeves are agressive drivers, people who don't take others into consideration and who are selfish. <embed src="http://lilgreenpatch.com/fb/greentrees/badge/badge.swf?badgeId=593493549,0" quality="high" salign="lt" width="130" height="160" wmode="transparent" name="LGP" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"/> </embed> <a href="http://lilgreenpatch.com/fb/greentrees/badge/badgelanding.php?badgeId=593493549,0&src=1" > <img src="http://greenpatch.s3.amazonaws.com/clear.gif" border="0" height="160" width="130" bgcolor="#00FF66"/> </a> <a href="http://www.TickerFactory.com/"> <img border="0" src="http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/d/4;10748;127/st/20080628/e/Going+to+Bretagne%2C+France/k/32aa/event.png"></a> <a href="http://lilypie.com"><img src="http://b5.lilypie.com/yoQbp1.png" alt="Lilypie 5th Birthday Ticker" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://lilypie.com"><img src="http://by.lilypie.com/3lmnp2.png" alt="Lilypie 6th to 18th Ticker" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://daisypath.com"><img src="http://dn.daisypath.com/i2lqp2.png" alt="DaisypathAnniversary Years Ticker" border="0" width="400" height="80" /></a> <a href="http://www.maploco.com/view.php?id=2025848">You are now marked on my visitor map!</a><a href="http://www.maploco.com/view.php?id=2025848"><img border=0 src="http://www.maploco.com/vmap/2025848.png" alt="Visitor Map"></a><a href="http://www.maploco.com/">Create your own visitor map!</a> Participation & Awards: <a href="http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x11/texacorw/March%202008/?action=view¤t=thelorikeets.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x11/texacorw/March%202008/thelorikeets.gif" border="0" alt="March Aussie Tag Badge"></a> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/ZaarWorldTourPartBanner.gif" alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/World%20Tour/ZWT2.gif"> <img src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/projects/200_PACpic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/projects/pacbanner.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"> <img src=http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q138/mswarzie/banner2.gif> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/PAC08Main.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"> <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/adoptedspring08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket">
