Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar together.
  2. Add egg and milk, blend well.
  3. Sift in flour and ginger, mixing well.
  4. Knead dough until smooth.
  5. Chill 1 hour.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  7. Lightly grease cookie sheet.
  8. Roll dough to 1/8 inch in thickness.
  9. Cut in to rounds with cookie cutter.
  10. Bake 10-12 minutes, until golden.
  11. Make sandwiches with two cookies and ginger marmalade.
