ingredients
- 1 3⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1⁄4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup milk
directions
- Mix dry ingredients (first 10 ingredients) in a medium bowl.
- Store mixture in airtight container. [This is the muffin mix.].
- Prepare a gift card with the following instructions:.
- Preheat oven to 400°F and grease 12 muffin tins.
- In a large bowl, combine the muffin mix with the butter, egg, vanilla, and milk.
- Stir the mixture until the ingredients are blended. Do not over mix. The batter will be lumpy.
- Fill muffin tins 2/3 full and bake for 15 minutes.

These were not bad; but, they were not great either. The recipe made 9 regular sized muffins; but, the flavour was on the bland side. The spices need some major tweaking. (perhaps doubled.) Also, i think they needed something like raisins, pecans, apple chunks or even a banana to give it some "oommpf". Not bad.
