ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 1⁄3 cups white bread flour
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 3⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3⁄4 teaspoon ginger
- 2 1⁄4 teaspoons active dry yeast
directions
- Place all ingredients in pan according to machine directions.
- Use medium crust setting, or equivalent on your machine.

Clear five stars!! I made two major changes - first, made it gluten free by using a gluten free bread mix for plain white bread, second, made it without Abm. Also I used rice milk for the milk and had to add a little water because the gluten free flour required more liquid. After rising 40 minutes, it baked 50 minutes at 400 degrees. The bread has a very nice crisp crust and is moist and chewy on the inside, is only a little sweet and has a wonderful gingerbread flavor. Not overpowering but just perfect for a toast. Will definitely make this again!! Thanks for sharing, Mike. Made for POOL PARTY TAG GAME.
