  • Preheat oven to 300.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in sugar.
  • Melt butter in a large pat 10x15x1 (I use jelly roll pan). Add nuts to egg mix and stir to coat each nut.
  • Press into butter and spread one layer thick.
  • Bake 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes until all butter is absorbed.
  • Spread nuts on brown paper to cool.
  • Break apart any nuts that are stuck together.
  • May be stored for several weeks in a sealed container.
