- 1 garlic clove
- 4 mushrooms
- 6 fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 4 ounces shaved turkey slices
- 4 ounces shaved ham slices
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons white wine
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 2 slices baby swiss cheese
directions
- Butter the 4 slices of bread with spreadable butter.
- Chop the ham and turkey in to 1/2" strips.
- Sauté wine, garlic, and mushrooms in the 1/2 tbsp butter. Olive oil can be substituted. Cook down until garlic and mushrooms are tender.
- Add in meats as well as thyme and basil, and cook on medium heat for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
- On a frying pan, place 2 slices of bread butter side down, and then using tongs or lifter, place the meat/herb mixture evenly on both slices.
- Cover each with a slice of cheese, then top with the other slices of bread, butter side up.
- Cook on each side until golden brown.
