directions

  • beat egg yolks, and add sugar --
  • add milk and cook in top of double boiler till slightly thickened --
  • soak unflavored gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes --
  • pour hot mixture over softened gelatin --
  • stir till smooth --
  • chill until slightly thickened.add beaten egg whites, vanilla and heavy cream to chilled mixture --
  • combine melted butter, sugar and cracker crumbs to make crumb crust --
  • sprinkle half the crumbs into bottom of serving dish --
  • spread chilled mixture over crumbs.
  • sprinkle remaining crumbs over top.
  • chill in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.

I love cooking, and reading Christian fiction..I have 5 grandchildren..4 boys and 1 spoiled granddaughter...I also have a black cocker spaniel named Tobey..who is very spoiled..Love computer games, cross stitch and reading cookbooks..I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia almost a year ago, on September 26, 2005....was in an out of the hospital for 8 months, doing intensive chemo...I am doing well now, thanks for all the prayers...
