- 1 (10 ounce) box frozen chopped spinach
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 tablespoons melted margarine
- 1⁄2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1⁄2 cups prepared stuffing

- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions
- 1⁄4 cup chopped celery
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 1⁄2 cups bread cubes
- 1⁄3 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon sage
- 1⁄4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 dash pepper
directions
- Cook spinach. Drain, saving liquid to use in preparing boxed stuffing.
- Mix spinach, soup, onion, butter, cheese, and egg. Add stuffing.
- Place in 1 quart casserole and top with grated cheese.
- Bake uncovered at 350* for 30 - 45 minutes.
- To prepare stuffing from scratch- Saute onions and celery in skillet with margarine until tender. Toss together with remaining ingredients.
