"This was my great grandma's recipe. It is a family fav and uses that bacon grease people save. THIS IS A SOFT COOKIE THAT SPREADS OUT WHILE ITS COOKING"

ingredients

2 cups brown sugar
¹⁄₂ cup fresh bacon grease
3 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¹⁄₂ teaspoon allspice
¹⁄₂ teaspoon salt
¹⁄₂ cup buttermilk
¹⁄₂ cup raisins
1 teaspoon baking soda
¹⁄₂ cup chopped walnuts

directions

Sift all dry ingredients into bowl.
Stir liquid into well of flour.
Add raisin and nuts stir drop cookies onto pan will spread out 400° oven 10 minutes.
