Directions

  1. Melt chocolate squares with 2 cups milk in saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and immediately remove from heat to cool slightly.
  2. Combine sugar, flour, cornstarch and salt. Set aside.
  3. Beat egg yolks with 1 cup milk. Blend in dry ingredients, mix well. Add the melted chocolate mixture, mix well.
  4. Cook over medium heat. Bring to a boil and continue boiling for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. Beat again with electric mixture (while still fairly hot).
  5. Cool, then pour into pie shell. Cover with plastic wrap and cool overnight.
  6. TOPPING: Whip cream until slightly thick. Add remaining 3 ingredients and beat until stiff. Place on top of chocolate pie that has cooled overnight in fridge.
