ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 lbs ground beef
- 1⁄2 lb ground pork
- 1⁄4 cup grated carrot
- 1⁄4 cup chopped celery
- 1⁄4 cup chopped onion
- 1 1⁄2 cups soft whole wheat bread, torn in pieces
- 1⁄3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
directions
- Combine all ingredients and mix well.
- Pat meat mixture into a 9" x 5" loaf pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 and 15 minutes.

As I was making this, I thought the meat mixture seemed a bit too wet, but it turned out fine. The meatloaf held together very well upon cutting, as you can see in the photos. In future, I would add a bit more spice, maybe a bit of sage. Otherwise a very good meatloaf. I look forward to making a cold meatloaf sandwich for lunch tomorrow. Thx for sharing this recipe.

I love collecting recipes and cookbooks, which is funny because I don't do any of the actual cooking in my house, at least not at present. I do come up with ideas for tweaking recipes though and I do occasionally bake.
