  1. This is a great recipe. It was so easy and simple to make. I did make some changes, I us 1/2 Cup of brown sugar ( sugar twin) and a dash of red pepper. I did not boil the onions, I just slice them and put on top of the chops. It was great. I am looking forward to making it again.

  2. Very good! I did make a few changes, not many. I don't like my meat really sweet, like someone else here said, so I cut the brown sugar in half. I used beef broth instead of water and I added a dash of cayenne pepper because I love sweet and spicy together. I skipped the step of boiling the onions - instead I just sliced them a little thick, laid them on the pan and laid the chops over top. I cooked my chops for 45 minutes they were done, as well as the onions. Super easy. I will make this again.

  3. I thought this was really great, however, I cut the brown sugar down to 1/2 cup because I don't like my meat to be too sweet. I also double the other spices (sage, mustard, pepper and paprika) and I really enjoyed it. Thanks!

  4. I doubled the sage, added three cloves of garlic, and sauteed the onions in butter to the point where they just carmelized and tasted tangy to offset the sugar. I added two small cans of mushrooms too, since DH is a fiend for mushrooms, I always incorporate them into every meal for him. I still found the sauce too sweet. Dh thought it was fine, but it was a little too overpowering. I served them with roasted potatoes and Mushy Peas.

  5. I'm sorry, Delilah26, but this was just too sweet for our taste. I used two pork chops, one onion and only 3/4 cup of brown sugar, but the rest of the ingredients I used as stated in your recipe. The flavor of the pork was non-existent because of the excessive sugar. Perhaps making it a sweet-and-sour dish with vinegar or pineapple added to it would be better.

I am a stay at home mom to 2 children. I love to try new recipes. I search this site all the time and find great ideas! I'm a good cook, but I'm a little afraid of spices. I don't know how much they change the flavor of the food I make. I'm learning a lot here though!
