  • Cook water, cornstarch, and sugar until thick. Add jello. Cool slightly.
  • Slice berries into shell. Pour jello mixture over berries. Chill.
  • Serve with whipped cream, as desired.

  1. This is a long-time favorite of mine. I grew up with Bob's Big Boy restaurant and this is the strawberry pie that they served. I loved how the pie slice stayed together when I cut it and slid it on to the plate. To clarify, the recipe should state 'one baked pie crust'.
     
  2. My DH adores strawberry pie and this one was a hit with him! It was nice to have more fresh strawberry flavor then jellied filling. I made two pies so used the whole box of jello and doubled the other ingredients. Used frozen Pillsbury pie shells that I thawed and baked before filling. Will add this recipe to my favorites. Made and reviewed for My3Chefs - June 2012.
