- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 lb ground sirloin
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 1⁄2 celery, diced
- 1 small green pepper, diced
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 dashes ground cloves
- 3 dried hot peppers, chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried hot pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole tomatoes, cut in chunks
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup
- 0.5 (10 1/2 ounce) soup can water
- 1 (11 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
directions
- Heat oil in kettle. Add ground sirloin and brown. Add remaining ingredients and simmer two hours, uncovered; stir occasionally.
