"This recipe is from my grandmother, who taught me to make bread. When I was little that what I called it. My grandma is 99 years old, so I started saving her recipes here."

  • 1. mix first six ingredients together.
  • 2. Stir in 1 quart of boiling water.
  • 3. Then 1 quart of cold water.
  • 4. When mixture has cooled. Blend in yeast.
  • 5.Put beaten eggs into batter.
  • 6. Add wheat flour, then the white flour.
  • 7. Knead for about 15 minutes.
  • 8. put in clean oiled bowl let rise 1 hour. Then divide into 6 loaves. Let rise 30 mintues.
  • 9. Bake at 325 degress for 35 minutes.

<p>I moved to Alaska 22 year ago and Love it here. I drive school bus in the winter and cook for a fishing lodge during the summer. I have two kids, a boy that is 16 and a girl that is 12. I have a wonderful husband, that likes to eat my cooking. In the summer I also due alot of gardening so we can have fresh food. I love to come to recipezaar. I find alot of good recipe to try.</p>
