  1. Cream shortening, sugar together then egg.
  2. Add molasses, stir.
  3. Sift in dry ingredients (Double Spices if you like).
  4. Roll into balls.
  5. Drop in sugar.
  6. Bake in 350 F oven for 10-12 minutes.
