These are probley the best oatmeal cookies I have had.I made them in my mixer. Since you did not say when to add the crisco. I beat the eggs and sugar and than added it. Also I did add 1 tea. vanilla. I did not use the raisins (had none)so I added a cup chopped walnuts. and 1/2 cup of the water. So "whatever" I came out with a good cookie.Next time will try it your way. Thanks, Chef #368282

ok,i almost fainted when i first looked at all the crisco to use, then cut recipe in half, still a little leery ,but im diabetic and dont eat cookies,so made them for the family ,and i have to say,i did take one bite, felt the texture, and my husband, grandkids raved and 2 daughter-in laws asked for recipe,so dear you have to get 5 star, and if i could after hearing the raves,i would give you more.thanks.i think the crisco was probably the one ingredient that made them so good,i know,we today dont use a lot of shortening, but im telling you, these rock!
