Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugars, add eggs and vanilla and beat well.
  2. Sift flour, salt, baking soda and cinnamon.
  3. Add to first mixture and mix well.
  4. Add raisins and nuts.
  5. Add oats last.
  6. Spoon out by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
  8. Remove to wire rack.
  9. Cool completely.
