  1. Sift flour,baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Mix in milk, egg, melted butter and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Heat lightly oiled griddle over medium high heat.
  4. Pour about 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  5. Brown on both sides.
  6. (I brush melted butter on each pancake as I add them to the stacks.).
