Granola

"My friend Chris makes this granola all the time. I never liked it until I tried this. She sometimes adds flax seeds or uses walnuts or pecans instead of almonds. Play with it and have fun."

  1. I wish I could give this a higher rating, but I had some problems with this recipe. The liquid didn't seem to be enough to cover all the dry ingredients, so that when it was done there weren't any of the chunks I'm used to in granola. I also baked it for less than the 1 1/2 hours, stirring it every 15 minutes as instructed, and it still burned and tasted slightly charred. Finally, I halved it, and it barely fit in the 9x13-inch pan, so if I had made the full amount I don't know how I would have fit it all. This recipe definitely has potential, but I think it needs more liquid and a shorter cooking time.
