- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
directions
- In a large bowl, combine all the dry ingredients.
- In a small bowl, whisk the molasses, oil, buttermilk and lightly beaen egg.
- Slowly pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture and stir until uniform.
- Lighly grease a griddle and pan over medium-low(275 degrees works good for me) and cook the pankcakes for about 3 minutes on each side.
