- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 cups uncooked rice (uncle ben's original)
- 8 ounces bell peppers in tomato sauce
- 2 garlic cloves (chopped or minced)
- 1 medium onion (chopped)
- salt and pepper
- 3⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3⁄4 teaspoon allspice
- 3⁄4 teaspoon clove, powder
- 12 cups water
directions
- brown beef with onion & garlic.
- add tomato sauce.
- add spices & water.
- add rice.
- pour into large baking pan.
- cover and bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes.
- add more water if needed.

my husband and i work with junior high school students...many hours each week! we both have mondays free - and we both love to cook. a trip to the gym, the fresh market & sam's club are our normal monday activities. then back home to cook something yummy!
