  1. This recipe takes little ingredients and is so simple to prepare. It tastes great and makes an awesome side dish.

  2. Very delicious way to cook green beans! I realized mid-reicpe that my last head of garlic wasn't looking so good, so had to substitute garlic powder. It turned out great! Next time I will try real garlic but this worked just fine as well. Not a bean left in the pot by the time dinner was over - and there were only 2 of us!

  3. My husband LOVED it!! He said that it reminded him of his Grandma's recipe!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

  4. I'm not a veggie person, however these beans are very good and easy to throw togeather. All who tried them in our house liked them.

Tweaks

  1. I made this recipe a few nights ago and I enjoyed it so much that I'm making it again tonight. It had a very subtle flavor, but it tasted really good, even though I modified the recipe by not using butter, by using vegetable stock instead of chicken stock, and omitting the onion.

  2. Simple to make and so delicious. As a variation, I added slices of chicken. Instead of the broth I used 1/2 cup water with one buillion cube.
