  1. Very yummy!! Taste old-fashioned, that is for sure! Very simple and very tasty! Did add some onion for personal taste.

  2. This is a good recipe. But I would have like to have more taste of bacon. Instead of adding butter at the end, it could be great to add bacon grease (yeah I know more fat but more flavour). I used seasoning salt (without sodium). I didn't let them cook 1 hour. Maybe 30 minutes. Thanks Puppitypup. Made for Beverage tag.

  3. This is a delicious way to serve green beans! I used frozen green beans and they were very easy and very flavorful. I will be making them again.

  4. Talk about memories! My Grandfather used to make this way back when nothing was bad for you. The only difference was, he started the recipe by cooking a few bacon slices in a skillet, chopping them up and reserving for the end product. He followed the recipe pretty much the same, but at the end added in the chopped bacon. So delicious! Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!

  5. These Green beans are a southern delight! The bacon grease gives them a wonderful meaty flavor. I even crumbled up some of the bacon into the beans for added flavor. This recipe should be on every self respecting southerners table! It's soooo GOOOD!!!!! Thanks for posting a great recipe!
