  1. In small bowl, combine the egg, cheese, onion, soy sauce, ketchup and pepper.
  2. Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.
  3. Shape into five patties.
  4. Wrap a bacon strip around each; secure with a toothpick.
  5. Grill patties, uncovered, over medium-hot heat for 5-6 minutes on each side or until meat is no longer pink.
  6. Discard toothpicks.
  7. Serve on buns with lettuce, tomato and onion, if desired.
