  1. Put the cobs of corn on the gas or charcoal grill about 15 minutes before you are ready to serve it.
  2. Watch the progress of the grilling. Turn the cobs when they begin to brown.
  3. When the corn is slightly browned all the way around the cob, brush on the butter and sprinkle with salt.
  4. Serve while it's still hot.
