Grilled Tropical Shrimp

  • 59.14 ml barbecue sauce, honey
  • 44.37 ml orange juice
  • 453.59 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 peaches
  • 1 onion, cut into wedges

directions

  • Mix the sauce and juice.
  • Cut peaches into wedges (you can substitute nectarines).
  • Thread skewers: shrimp, fruit, onion wedges; repeat.
  • Spray the grill or the kabob pan on the grill.
  • Grill over medium for about 5 minutes, until shrimp are pink.
  • Baste every minute with sauce and juice mix.

  1. I am SO happy that the Peanut Gallery was out of the house for the weekend because it meant more for the Mad Scientist and me. Personally, the only change I would make is to cut back on the onion, but that was my fault for making the wedges too big. Nice, romantic meal.

Still in West Virginia but we've moved a few miles away, down to the county capitol. It's a compromise: bigger than our last town but smalelr than the "big city" of Cumberland MD, right up the road. Jobs are not that plentiful here so I am fortunate to be able to work at home (I'm a writer). My passion is cooking and feeding people family well....my pet peeve is the family court systems in America......my love is for emergency medicine and the people that make survival in a crisis possible
