  1. Very easy, my kind of recipe. Has great taste, and moist. My family loves this cake. I used the vanilla extract that the recipe called for, plus I added 1 t. butter flavoring. This was great, thanks for posting.

  2. I made this cake it was easy to make and it took me 50 minutes to bake. I used a bundt pan and put a vanilla glaze on it. My family love it especially my neice "You put your foot in it". Thanks for the recipe.

  3. Easy, great tasting, rose at least an inch above my pan. next time I think I'll make a few cupcakes as well as the 13x9. It took a while longer to bake than the time listed. Mine took over 60 minutes, but it was well worth the wait. My chocoholics want me to try a deep choc mix for them.

  4. I made this cake yesterday during a wonderful snow storm. (we don't get much snow in my part of VA.) We all loved the flavor of this cake and I liked that I had everything I needed to make it. Really good flavor!

I am married with 3 sons and two spoiled female dogs. My mother worked as a cook her entire life. I learned as a child, standing on a chair next to her trying to take in each detail of what she was doing and anticipating the outcome. I have worked as a cook for the schools and now I volunteer for our youth and children's camps as a cook in the Summer. These days, I look for healthier recipes for my family and nothing too fancy.
