Gumdrop Cake

- 1 3⁄4 cups white sugar
- 1 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 3 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup gumdrop (omit white and black ones)
directions
- Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs; beat together. Add milk, vanilla and lemon juice.
- Whisk together flour, salt and baking powder.
- Add liquid ingredients alternately with dry ingredients. Stir in gumdrops.
- Cook in a tube cake pan at 325F for approximately 1 hour.
- Remove from oven, leave in pan for 10 minutes. Remove form pan and let cool on wire rack.
- Dust with icing sugar.

<br>I guess the dish that I am famous for is my Christmas ham - my family all comes home for Christmas, and if i don't have my ham they are dissapointed, and my grandson wants the pistachio squares!!! so I guess that is the dishes that I'm famous for.
