  2. This was excellent and just the recipe I was searching for. I served this with a sweet and sour kielbasa dish. Yum! Thanks for posting! :o)

  3. I'm not a huge fan of cabbage but I made this to take to a party of a friend who likes halushki and I have to say that I liked it. I don't know if it's something that I would make on a regular basis but it was an easy and yummy recipe. Thanks.

  4. I am 50% Slovak, and have only had this dish before when prepared by my Grandmother (Bubka) in the Slovak Republic. I took a stab myself with this recpie, and it comes very close...and tastes great. I sauteed the onions in the butter, and just added the cabbage once they just started to brown. Additionally I added some paprika to enhance the flavors (Bubka's secret). Also, in true Slovak style I served it with small drop dumplings. Will definitely make again!

  5. I sauted the cabbage rather than boil it. I than added the onion and some fresh, minced garlic. This is a great dish. We will have this again.
