  1. I really struggled with how to rate this one. It was a 5 star presentation for sure. I grilled on a low heat, so I didn't have any trouble with the cheese melting through. When I cut it, it was simply beautiful, with the cheese melted perfectly. But I discovered that I don't like mustard with the french toast. I really thought I would love it, but all I could taste was the mustard, and I think that is just a personal thing. I will try this again, but without the mustard. Thanks for the recipe!!!!

  2. A tasty, filling sandwich that pairs well with a mug of hot soup for a quick & easy dinner! My one regret is that the cheese didn't melt, even though I shredded it & covered the skillet while cooking. I used multi grain bread, deli-shaved Black Forest ham & old Cheddar cheese. Thanx Marie!

  3. This is a good sandwich. I think next time I will "flash" the ham in a hot skillet to slightly fry it before putting on the bread and adding the cheese. I think this might help the cheese to heat faster. All in all it is a nice hearty breakfast or lunch.
