1. I wanted to add a quick comment: I forgot to mention that you can also spread the sauce on the inside of the buns if you would prefer!

 2. I make a variation of these but same concept using what I have.
I usually omit the Worcestershire and I like to make it 1/2 butter 1/2 margarine.
I too put the butter on the inside so hands stay clean.

 3. Very good little sammys. Nice and easy. Everyone enjoyed them. Thanks!

 4. I LOVE these rolls even though I hate mustard! It is so easy to eat more than I should because they are sooo good. Thanks for the recipe, it varies a little from mine, but still yields the same great dish.

 5. Delicious, rich Poppyseed Sauc! I've been searching for this appetizer/finger food recipe for a long time, something I always see at church fuctions and reunions, but could not find in a cookbook. Thanks for posting it. I never think of these until I have left-overs from a picnic ham-using your homemade prepared ham is not as easy as already sliced deli-style ham. It's hard to delicately eat it without pulling out the whole slice from the roll. So,I added these steps: I minced the ham in a food processor. I also processed a chunk of swiss cheese (slicer and shredding disks were in the dishwasher so I used the chopping blade which worked great on the ham but just okay on the partially frozen cheese). Putting the cheese and ham together, I sprinkled that evenly over the bottom layer of rolls and proceeded with the recipe. However,I couldn't find the small rolls. I settled for regular size. I found the rolls started to crisp before the 20 minutes were up so I covered with them foil since we like the rolls to be soft, not toasted. Hubby gobbled up a bunch last night and asked for two more for breakfast. It's a keeper.
