directions

  • Brown hamburger and onion and drain.
  • In BIG pot combine all ingredients except for noodles and stir well.
  • Add cooked noodles until you like the consistency (also good way to stretch it for more people). The longer you cook it the better it tastes.
  • Remember the stewed tomatoes and cheese will both cook down some so don't add too much ketchup.
  • You can always add either it or water to straighten out consistency.
  • ** for cheese - the more cheese you add the creamier and to a certain extent blander it gets. If you like lots of cheese stir it OFTEN. voice of experience).
  • Recipe and also be increased at will as long as you have a very large pot.

  1. Between the stewed tomatoes and sauce I used 42 ozs total. On the pasta I cooked until al dente and I used 2 cups of frozen corn instead of canned.

  2. I have to give this a 5 star rating for being so easy to make, ingredients that are always on hand, and great taste! Also added about 1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce instead of only 1, black pepper, lemon pepper and added some minced garlic in with the onion. This is very versatile and could be easily adapted to personal tastes. Cant wait to have it for lunch tomorrow! Thank you M Messer for posting this recipe!

  3. Even though I didn't add the sugar, with the ketchup it was to sweet for my taste. I think kids would really like this dish. We had this for supper, but I would not fix again.

  4. Both my husband and I agree that this was a great tasting weekday meal. It was quick, used ingredients we had on hand, and we really enjoyed the taste. I stuck pretty much to the recipe, but added a little extra Worcestershire Sauce and possibly a little less cheese, I didn't actually measure. The combination of ingredients blended nicely together and I'm sure if my grown children had been home, they would have enjoyed it, too. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
