  1. Made as written and it was o.k. My husband said to rate it a 2 as it was "bland". I gave it a 3, because, to be fair the recipe does say "any other herbs or spices as you desire". It was really quick though, and I appreciated that. I will definitely make it again upping the spices and adding mushrooms as another review suggested.

  2. I added concentrated beef broth, a can of corn and a can of mushrooms. It was extremely good with mashed potatoes (almost like a savory Shepard's Pie with much more moisture). I will be making this over and over again. It was so easy!! Thanks!

  3. This was ok. It needs more liquid though as it was pretty thick. To us it was pretty bland. We added more garlic and some beef bouillion to it. I would make this again but make some changes to it.

  4. I made this the other night and it was very good. I am rating this 5 stars because my 2 year old will not eat any meat, veges or fruit. I stirred the gravy in the mashed potatoes so he would have to get some meat. He ate every bite. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

  5. I use to do this for the kids when they were small, we called it SOS back then. Didn't use the mustard but if I could afford it added mushrooms. Thanks for the memories, might fix it again soon.....not now though, to full after doing the eggs and cheese thing.......lol

After many many years of having a houseful of kids, I'm now cooking for one (sometimes 2 when my teen finds his way home). It's actually quite a challenge and it's a good thing I like leftovers!
