  1. Hamburger Helper Soup? How odd i thought.Had to use Mixed frozen Veggies in place of Veg-all.GR88888 recipe, thanks for posting.

  2. When I was little, this recipe used to be called "Garden Vegetable Soup" and it was a staple in the house. Now I'm grown with kids of my own, so I make it in a double batch to feed my voracious teenage boys. They never get sick of it. Its even better the next day, if there are leftovers. Sometimes I add extra vegetables or tomatoes and adding steak seasoning and liquid smoke give it a nice flavor too.

  3. Really good I remembered this recipe and making it before I was diagnosed with Celiac. I was craving soup for my work lunch and I made it today. All I did was use the seasoning packet from the hamburger helper and subbed it for gluten free noodles-it was delish!!! I’ll just give the noodles to my brother or sister when they come over ??????

  4. This has been a favorite in our family for years. It is great to take camping...fix the meat and onions ahead and freeze...measure out the spices into a baggie...once at camp, I just dump all the ingredients except pasta in, let it cook on the fire and smell great an hour or so. Add the pasta then continue cooking til done. It doesn't taste as good the camp/dump way at home. But either way is great in the proper environment. :-)

  5. I really liked this but the rest of the family thought it was OK. I used five cups of beef broth and no water. I didn't have veg-all but had a bag of steamfresh mixed veggies so I made them in the microwave and dumped them in. I also added about 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. I made grilled cheese sandwiches on the side. This made for a nice quick dinner on a rainy evening.

Can't believe I've been a member here for 18 years! It's changed a lot since the old RecipeZaar days and maybe or maybe not for the better. It used to be a community and now it's just a tool. Sad, but life goes on. I have been in Kentucky for 12 years now and enjoy the country lifestyle, along with master gardening. Recipes I've found here since Day One are still in my rotation. Don't entertain that much anymore, so finding new and exciting foods is no longer center stage. Just glad to have so many good recipes to fall back on because eating out is expensive and sometimes too far to drive.
