Hamburger Patties Saucy Style

ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce (or 1 can cream of mushroom - your preference)
- 2 tablespoons onions
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
directions
- Combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper.
- Form patties and brown until done.
- In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce (or cream of mushroom), onion, brown sugar, worcestershire, and mustard.
- Pour sauce over patties.
- Simmer 10 minutes.

I do not give 5 stars very often, but this was totally fabulous! I used Grey Poupon whole grain mustard, as we prefer it. I used the chopped dehydrated onion, as hublet is not a big fan of onion. I also used the Cream of Mushroom soup. The gravy was fabulous! I broiled the lean beef patties on a rack to reduce the fat content further. I did add finely minced garlic to the patties. I added the sauce, covered the electric skillet and allowed it to simmer until done. My husband loved it and I will be making this recipe again.
