"This recipe comes from a little book called ABC Jiffy Cookery. I've had it for over 50 years. I haven't cooked any of the recipes yet. I'm putting them here so I can find them easier."

  • Form patties of the hamburger, using 1/3 pound to each patty. Heat butter in a frying pan until it is golden brown. Fry the hamburgers until well-browned on a very hot fire, applying salt, pepper and a liberal coating of Bahamian mustard to the exposed raw side of the hamburgers.
  • Turn over, and pour a little sherry over each hamburger. Sherry will trickle down and mix with the browned butter to make a delicious gravy. Cook about 5 minutes and serve immediately.
