  1. This recipe is very helpful and delicious! i have no experience with candy making but this was very easy! it did take me a few tries to get it right but it tastes AMAZING!!

  2. I made butter rum/caramel hard rock candy at Christmas but I'm out of that flavoring. I found this recipe and thought it might be sort of similar. I'm not even a Worthers Original fan but this is so good!!! Homemade is always better, even if they're not perfectly shaped!!

  3. I agree with Sams_Rosie below - this is more like a toffee, albeit a very hard and glossy one. Kind of reminds me of Werther's Original. Very tasty and nice but not really what I was looking for.

  4. It tasted good. However, it didn't taste like butterscotch.

  5. This was great! It tastes more like heath bar filling, it would be really good dipped chocolate. I accidently let the temp get to 350 but it still tasted great.

Tweaks

  1. I slightly tweaked this, used dark brown sugar, maple syrup and increased the vanilla to 1/2 tsp. and it came out really nice. A slightly different texture, but the taste was awesome.
