  • Pour 1/2 inch juice into skillet and stir in brown sugar. Make slashes in fat around steak to keep it from curling.
  • Place ham in skillet with juice mixture and top with pineapple slices.
  • Cook on medium low heat and turn twice.
  • Cook until sauce becomes thick and serve with pineapple slice on each serving.

  1. This is so yummy and so easy. I probably used more pineapple juice. I poured all the can. The sauce didn't thicken. So I removed the ham and let the juice and pineapple boil with a higher heat. My son really liked that. Thanks for posting :) Made for PAC Spring 2012
     
  2. What a great method to make a ham steak. We really liked the flavor the pineapple juice gave to the steak. I only had pineapple chunks but I grilled those too to warm them to serve with the ham. Thanks for sharing another method to have ham steak. Made for Bargain Basement tag game.

I'm a new cooker. We've always eaten out a lot until the last year. I intentionally have been planning and making meals every evening and sitting around the table with the family. I don't care if it's 10:30 at night, we will sit down and eat at the table together. I think it's teaching good nutrion but also keeps us connected.
